Ngombe, Lusaka · Zambia
Fernwood Institute trains Zambia's next Health Care Assistants, then places our own certified graduates into homes that need trusted care.
PACRA registered · LCC Health Permit · K50 to start
How it works
Whether you are applying for a course or requesting a caregiver, it is the same three steps.
Pick a course or describe the care you need, and fill a short form — no in-person queueing.
A one-time application or assessment fee, paid by mobile money or card, confirms your place in the queue.
K50 — one-time
Course applicants get their intake date. Home care families get a call to match a caregiver.
In the community
Our students and graduates work in uniform — ID badge, stethoscope, the maroon polo — at community screenings as well as in family homes. That is the point of Fernwood: classroom to client, under one institute.
